Lucy Morgan writes:

In hot weather the locals will come down to the banks of the river in leisure time and enjoy the water. If you travel down a river in the Philippines you'll find plenty of spots where the local village has congregated and are playing music, selling food and drink and enjoying the cool of the water as the sun beats down. They'll laugh at any white-skinned sunburnt foreigner and splash you as you glide past but the carnival atmosphere is amazing.
