Mountain stupa

Simla, India

On the outskirt of Simla, an hill-station in India, the march of the Himalayas can be viewed. Hill stations function as summer residences for the well-to-do in the flatlands. They can view the sweltering Hindu lowlands or turn around and see the cool Tibetian highlands. This stupa marks the edge of Tibetian influence.
