I spent Christmas 2002 in Cambodia, travelling via Bangkok. Wat Arun (The Temple of the Dawn) was the only Wat we visited during our day back in the city for the first time in 3 years.
What I found fascinating about Wat Arun, is that most of the decoration is mosaic, made from bits of broken china, dinner plates, tea cups, tea saucers.... beautiful and ingenious.
It's a lovely place, take the river ferry to it from busy Bangalampu.
