This is avery ancient town of Nepal. Both of these old men are wearing typical Gurkha dress and both seem of the same age, because they both have the stick (cane) on their hands. They are probably talking about their crops (rice). It looks like the guy who is sitting down has no luck in producing more grains, so he looks worried. On the other hand, the guy standing is just passing by with his grand daughter and happen to see his old friend. He is trying to convince him; he says "this is just the flip side of life."
